“‘Allo there, young lass. My name is Lytri! ”

Lytri is one of the three main characters of Realms and Relics. Mainly relegated to technical support from the Forge, Lytri supplies Arix with gates between different locations and numerous gadgets to help him in their quest to find the universe’s ultimate treasure stash. She is an engineering genius who has accomplished mechanical feats that many thought were otherwise impossible.

Personality

Lively and energetic, Lytri is always in a good mood when she is busy. Like many dwarves, she doesn’t like to stray too far from her workshop and is a homebody since she always has to be working on something. Although she mostly took Arix in so she could raise someone to do the shopping and give her even more time in the Forge, Lytri found herself naturally motherly and can’t help but dote on him and anyone else he happens to bring home.

History

Early Life

Lytri has not shared almost anything about her life prior to meeting Arix. She had already created the Forge, the Subspace Gate Engine, and the first Cross-realm Regulator when she took him in as a child. The only thing anyone really knows about her is that she is from somewhere in the Niðavellir Realms and inherited the map of the cosmos that will lead to the vault once all the relics of the realms are gathered. Lytri has been taking care of Arix since before he could talk, and acts like a mother to him.

Realms and Relics

Lytri uses her equipment to discern that Nerthus must have the Flower of Vanaheimr to be able to retain her form between realms in the way that she does, and sent Arix to the Capital of Neevarit to steal Nerthus’ personal log from her cart while she is distracted by a royal wedding. After the plan goes awry, Lytri coordinated Arix’s escape by opening subspace gates between worlds until she could get him back home. After they returned, she fixed Arix’s Cross-realm Regulator to return him to his normal form. Lytri deciphered Nerthus’ log and found that the Flower was on Earth. She sent Arix and his new friend Kvirja to retrieve the Flower, only to have to create an unstable emergency subspace gate to rip them back out of Nordr’s Temple before they were crushed by the weight of the ocean.

Attributes

Stats

Might: As a dwarf, Lytri has strength contrary to her size. She built the entire Forge by hand and often carries around equipment orders of magnitude above her own weight.

Vigor: Lytri never seems to tire or get hurt. She works day in and day out and walks off any large machinery that happens to fall on her when building new intentions or repairing the Forge. Lytri doesn’t fight, but no one would be worried about her if she got caught up in a scruff.

Alacrity: Lytri is at least swift and agile enough to end up anywhere in the vast complex of the Forge in what seems like a blink of an eye. She can climb up and crawl through even nook and cranny with ease.

Intuition: Lytri seemingly has to be one of the brightest minds in the universe to figure out how to make the Supspace Gate Engine, if you understand what it means for it to operate. Her inventive prowess is second to almost no one.

Equipment

Lytri has invented many fantastical technologies. The entire Forge, the base they live in, is an invention of Lytri’s that she uses to craft her other devices.

Cross-Realm Regulator: An invention of Lytri’s that looks like an odd wristwatch. It keeps the wearer in their default entropic state no matter where they are in the universe, preventing them from changing forms when jumping from realm to realm. It also acts as a communication device linking back to the Forge.

Subspace Gate Engine: A massive machine lining the entirety of the Forge that creates a Subspace Gate between any two compatible points in the universe. Non-compatible points can be connected in dire circumstances, but it can possibly lead to terrible consequences. It is also bad to leave a gate open for too long.
