Hope you all are enjoying the holiday season and have an especially Merry Christmas from us at Ex Dynamis Chaos. Here we have The Metal and his two younger brothers, The Kidd and Joe the Short, preparing for a Christmas celebration with the rest of their motley crew back at the dojo. It’s a rare thing to snow in Texas, even rare on Christmas (not the year of this posting unfortunately), but when it does you have to go all out and enjoy it while you can. You know they always will.
We here at Ex Dynamis Chaos hope you are enjoying the start of Hanukkah and have a wonderful festival all the way through! Here we have Pop-Rocks sisters Mitch and Sandy partaking in the lighting of the Hanukkiah, but as usual with Sandy she she has to crank things up to eleven because that’s just the sort of person she is. Mitch is quite used to it by now, but that won’t ever stop her from criticizing her plans. (And yes that is the right side of the menorah from their perspective)
Our very first guest contribution to the site comes from artist Dan Yell in collaboration working off a single page script by Mr. Terzich. This comic follows The Jewel back when she was still training at the Shaolin monastery in the Song mountains. She’s sent to grab more pickled prunes from the store house and finds the pickling jar is more stubborn than she’d like. Nothing a little qi alignment can’t solve for someone like her, but that can sometimes just cause even more problems than before. It’s not like she can complain about doing all these chores since she’s not actually a monk and has gotten away with room and board since she was a kid.
Let’s thank the artist for their effort by checking him out at his various places. You can find Dan Yell on Twitter @danyelldraws and Instagram as well under @danyelldraws.
Oh, and here is the accompanying codex entry for this page.
We here at Ex Dynamis Chaos hope you are having a wonderful holiday that filled with just the right amount of getting out of your normal face and not too much candy coming back into it. This year’s card has the hero Maximus and his street urchin friend Jenny whom he is taking trick-or-treating for the first time in her life. Since he wears a costume more days than not, Max decided not to dress up. Jenny on the other hand scrounged up enough money off the streets and managed to buy a costume of the person she looks up to most, to his surprise.
